You might have noticed that I made some changes on the blog. I have added some categories and made a few changes to make the blog easier to navigate. I noticed that nobody could find some of my older blogs and that I got questions about things that were already on the blog, simply because nobody could find them. So it was time to change things a little! Read more
I want to wish you all a very happy and healthy 2017! Hopefully, it will be a year with a lot of happy moments, good memories and as little stomach problems as possible ;)
I want to wish you all a very merry Christmas! Hopefully with lots of loved ones around you and of course good food ;)
Last weekend, I was at my first ever food blogger conference, Njam Zgodbe, and what was even more special: I was a guest speaker ánd the conference took place in Slovenia!
In my first interior blog post, I already told you that I moved to my very first apartment three weeks ago. I did live in a student house when I was still studying, but I think this is a bit different. For the first time, I have a place that I can decorate how I want it! Therefore, I spent a lot of time on Pinterest in the last weeks, looking for interior DIYs and creative ideas. Because, even though most furniture is already there, there are a lot of things that I still want to change.
I have been living in my new apartment for two weeks now and I am very excited to decorate it. Since I moved, I almost forgot that I used to use Pinterest for recipe inspiration because lately, I have only been scrolling through interior pictures. Because this is the first ever apartment that I am decorating, I am still figuring out what my style is, but I really start to lean towards a Scandinavian interior, the Scandinavian interior style.
In between all the recipes, I would like to share a non-food post with you today. For those who have just started following Karlijn’s Kitchen: next to sharing recipes, I also love to write about lifestyle: about books that I read, new things that I discover, about personal development and about travelling. Sharing recipes will always be my favourite, but sometimes you will see some posts about other subjects on the blog. Just like today, about Harry Potter and the cursed child.
This book is pretty much in your face. With its bright yellow cover and the huge letters screaming at you: You are a Badass. How to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life. You are a Badass talks about how we are constantly sabotaging ourselves in getting what we really want, about learning about ourselves from what annoys you about other people, about chasing your dreams and creating a life that you want and love.
